Month Celebration
The Schools Division of Gingoog officially launched the 2026 National Women's Month Celebration on March 2, 2026, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to gender equality, holistic wellness, and women's empowerment across all levels of the education sector.
Wellness and mental health are the foundation of a gender-responsive workplace.
Throughout March 2026, the Division Office will conduct a series of wellness sessions, advocacy campaigns, and solidarity initiatives designed to promote inclusivity and professional excellence among DepEd personnel and the broader school community.
In observance of the theme "Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!" the division recognizes the indispensable role women play in nation-building — from the classroom to the community, and beyond. This year's celebration continues to spotlight women's leadership, mental health awareness, and gender-responsive policies that sustain a safe and equitable workplace.
Previous Activities

The Schools Division of Gingoog City formally opened the 2026 National Women's Month Celebration on March 2, 2026, at the Division Office. The ceremonial launch gathered division personnel, school administrators, and GAD focal persons in a unified demonstration of solidarity for gender equality and women's empowerment.
The program featured a flag-raising ceremony, a reading of the proclamation for National Women's Month, an inspirational message from the Schools Division Superintendent, and the symbolic display of women's advocacy materials throughout the division premises.

Schools across the Division of Gingoog City actively joined the 2026 National Women's Month Celebration throughout the month of March. Elementary and secondary schools conducted their own school-level activities, solidarity programs, and awareness campaigns aligned with the national theme "Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!"
Anakan National High School, Binakalan Elementary School, Pundasan National High School, and Alfonso Ang Militante Integrated School are among the schools that documented their participation, showcasing the broad reach of the Division's gender-responsive advocacy.

As part of the DepEd Schools Division of Gingoog City's 50th Anniversary Celebration, a Tree Planting Activity was held on March 3, 2026, at the New Division Office in Brgy. Lunotan, Purok 5, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental. The activity was conducted in collaboration with the Gingoog City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).
The tree planting initiative reflects the Division's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability alongside its golden anniversary milestone. Personnel from the Division Office participated in planting native and ornamental tree species around the newly established office premises.

The DepEd Schools Division of Gingoog City successfully conducted the Capacity Building on GAD Planning and Budgeting and the Training on Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) for GFPS as Validators. This initiative strengthened the competencies of the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) members in gender-responsive planning, budgeting, and program evaluation.
The training equipped participants with practical tools for integrating gender perspectives into institutional plans and budgets, as well as the technical knowledge required to carry out HGDG validation processes. The activity reinforced the division's commitment to evidence-based, gender-responsive governance in education.
"As Division GAD Focal Person, this encounter was more than just an activity — it was a meaningful journey of learning, reflection, and renewed commitment to serve with compassion and inclusivity. This training reminded us that GAD is not just a mandate — it is a calling to transform lives, to build safe and inclusive spaces, and to lead with equity and compassion. Together, let us continue the journey, inspired and united in purpose."
